My Confidence Was Affected Because Of My Teeth, Dental Implants Allowed Me To Eat & Smile Freely."

It’s a huge effect on your confidence and, and how you feel, and who you’re around. I mean, it’s only so many conversations you can have like this, with your hand in front of your face or without showing your teeth. Believe me, I’ve tried. And when you’re uncomfortable with your mouth, you assume that everybody can see what’s going on in your mouth and it’s horrible. I mean, it’s not a good way to live.

When I saw Dr. Spencer and he brought it up, he explained to me what was wrong. And why I was still having pain and how he could fix it. Then it actually started happening and everything was, you know, going as expected. And as he said, it was just such a huge relief to have it done and done correctly.

Lois:

I did have dentures and I didn’t have them very long simply because they didn’t fit properly. I had horrible sores in my mouth. My gums and my cheeks and I guess it’s just the dental pain that, you know, wouldn’t subside, no matter what. I couldn’t eat what I wanted to eat and there was a clicking noise. I mean, you can hear them when I open my mouth and said anything.

So easiest thing to do is just stay home and don’t bother going out and seeing people because you know, it was obvious especially to me that something was wrong.

Husband:

All you need to, you need to look at getting it fixed.

Lois:

It never works. Never works. It was horrible. I mean, I worked with customer service forever and I don’t, didn’t understand why the other dentist couldn’t listen to me and understand what exactly the problem was and what I wanted. I mean, I was going to pay for this service so they should listen to me, and it was like, this is fine, you’ll be fine. This is all you need you don’t, you know, you’ll be okay, and I wasn’t.

They couldn’t really understand the mouth pain I was having. The embarrassment I was having, and how desperately I just wanted to get my teeth fixed so that I could go out in public and have a normal life.

Husband:

You deserve it, you know. Money doesn’t matter.

Lois:

Maybe I’ll look one more time.

Husband:

Look in more times, whatever it takes. I love you very much, [inaudible]

Lois:

I’m going to see Dr. Spencer last straw [?] and he listen to everything I said. He understood exactly how I felt and what was going on and what I needed and wanted. Implants were mentioned. Some of the other dentist that I saw and doctors but I just wasn’t comfortable spending that much money with them when they couldn’t get my dentures even to fit correctly.

And then when I saw Dr. Spencer and he brought it up, he explained to me what was wrong. And why I was still having pain and how he could fix it. Then it actually started happening and everything was, you know, going as expected. And as he said, it was just such a huge relief to have it done and done correctly.

And when I had my first steak, it was wonderful. It’s been a long time since I had a good steak. So, you know, after that, it was pretty much confirmed, I can eat anything. Corn on the cob like, whatever I want. You know, and it was, nothing moved. Nothing shifted, nothing fell out. I think it was great. It was wonderful. The worst thing I did was not going to Dr. Spencer a year or two earlier.
